The Naturepedic Waterproof Organic Mattress Protector Pad combines soft, GOTS-certified organic cotton jersey with a thin thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) waterproof barrier. The cotton provides a smooth, flexible sleeping surface, while the TPU layer helps prevent liquids from reaching the mattress beneath.

Unlike vinyl/PVC-based waterproof protectors, this design uses a flexible TPU membrane that blocks liquid water while allowing some water vapor to pass through. This helps manage moisture and reduce the heat buildup sometimes associated with less breathable protective layers.

The stretch-knit construction stays close to the mattress without adding substantial bulk or changing its feel. Its fitted, elasticized perimeter makes it suitable for a range of mattress depths, including the Naturepedic mattresses selected for ZUMA Market.

Care instructions

Machine wash using a gentle detergent. Avoid bleach. Tumble dry low. The protector may initially appear slightly oversized to accommodate natural shrinkage of the organic cotton; Naturepedic advises that full shrinkage may take two or three wash-and-dry cycles.
